This
ancient city have many stupas and temples constructed between
3rd century B. C to 12th Century, the most famous one "Sanchi
Stupa" was build by famous King Ashoka. Monuments here are the
best illustration for early temple architectural in India.
Site went under the restoration work by Dept. of Archeology in
the year 1912 and now is part of UNESCO World Heritage.
