Pune - ShaniwarwadaPune or Poona, historic city dates back to childhood of Maratha King shivaji, is unique city of modern India with highest number of two wheelers. Pune is the cultural capital of the Maharashtra state and played very vital role in the freedom movement of country. After the Bangalore, Pune is the second city to be known as the I T City. Near by Khadakvasala is one of the major training center for armed forces. City is also famous for Ganesh festival like the Kolhapur Ganesh and base city for the Ashtavinayak Pilgrimage. 

How to reach Pune by Train

Pune is divisional headquarter of central railway for the North bound trains. City also have trains for several cities of South India like Chennai, Kanyakumari etc.

How to reach Pune by Road

Pune is connected to Mumbai with country's first six lane express highway and have good road links for all major cities. City falls on the National highway No. 4 [Mumbai - Bangalore], No. 9 [Solapur - Hyderabad] and No. 50 [For Nasik] beside many state highways.

How to reach Pune by Air

Many domestic and a few international flights are operating from city's airport at Lohegaon which shares runway with Indian Air Force.
