Gurudwara After Delhi, Patna is another Indian city which holds status of being the capital city since ancient time. Mahadh King Ajatshtaru was the first to build a fort in this city, being known as Pataliputra during that time. City witness rules of various dynasities and kings from 6th century BC to 5th century AD and presently capital of Bihar state. Sikh Guru, Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji were born here in 1660 and one among four scared "Akal Takhats" is situated here at Gurudwara Harmandir , constructed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji and city is an important Sikh pilgrimage.

How to reach Patna by Train:

Patana lies on eastern railways and have frequent train service for various cities including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkatta. City's rail network has shown a tremendous growth in recent years as city is home town of railway minister Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav, who successfully turned Indian railways into a profitable body.

City is served by national highway No. 30 and have more than adequate & comfortable bus service for various near by cities.
