Daulatabad Fort - Aurangabad

Daulatabad Fort - Aurangabad - MaharashtraThis 12th century and one of world's most preserved fort of Medieval era is the bonus for the visitors of famous World Heritage site Ajantha and Ellora caves, as this fort is situated at about 1 hours road journey from Aurangabad. Significant constructions inside the fort includes:

Chand Minar: This 30 meter high victory tower was constructed in 1435 by Ala-ud-din Bahmani.

Chini Mahal: This is blue tiled palace where Abdul Hasan Tana Shah, last king of Golcunda was imprisoned in 1687.

Jami Masjid: This mosque having 106 pillar is said to be constructed by Khilji ruler of Delhi, Qutub-ud-din Mubarak in 1318. This is said that the site was Hindu & Jain Temple in the past.
