Bodhisattva has changed the life of prince Siddhartha and made him Gautam Buddha. In the modern times this city from Indian state Bihar is capable of bringing same kind of change in the life of millions and millions. Bodhgaya is one of four important city in pilgrimage of Buddhism other three cities are Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sarnath. Buddhists history dates back to 500 BC when here under the banyan tree (Boddhi Tree) prince Siddhartha gained unsurpassed, supreme Enlightenment.

How to reach Bodhgaya by Train:

Nearest rail station is Gaya. Recently Indian railways has introduced a Buddhism Pilgrimage train connecting cities related with Buddha & Buddhism.

How to reach Bodhgaya by Road:

Gaya is a major city on historical Grand Trunk Road. State tourism dept. provide direct bus service between Patana & Bodhgaya.

How to reach Bodhgaya by Air:

Nearest airport is Gaya [approx. 15 km] but regular domestic flights are for Patana [135 km].
