Hindu mythology says Amaravati was the city of King Indira, who was considered Lord of all Gods. If we go with Hindi language Amar stands for immortal and vasi means native this means Amaravati is the city of immortal people.

Amravati is budding and upcoming city of Maharashtra from Vidharbha region and gateway to Melghat Century. On educational fronts city is front runner in the area with Amravati university.

Amravati is native place of saint Manoharlal sahib, Grand son of great sindhi saint Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib Ji.

How to reach Amravati by Train:

City's railway station Badnera is an important stop for trains running on the Mumbai - Nagpur route.

How to reach Amravati by Road:

Amravati falls on NH 6 (Surat Kolkatta). Frequency of bus service for intra and inter state road travel is adequate to meet with the demands. Air conditions, sleeper coach bus service is also there for some selective cities.

How to reach Amravati by Air:

Nearest airports to city are at Nagpur and Akola.
