*This
crescent shaped fort is illustration for three generations of
Mugul dynasty as the construction for this fort was started in
1565 A.D by great King Akbar and was completed by his grandson
Shah Jhan.
*The 2.4 km. area covering fort was constructed with red
sandstones hence also referred as "Red Fort". Defensive
ditches surrounding the fort are about 10 meter wide.
*Moti Masjid [white marvel mosque ], Diwan-e-Am, Diwan-e-Khaas,
Jehangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal, Shish Mahal and Musamman or
Samman Burj are the few building in the interior of the fort.
