Jhansi
fort was constructed by Orchha King Raja Vir Singh Judeo in
1613 and was closely related with Rani Laxmibai, famous for
her part in the first freedom struggle [1857] of country. The
fort is truly mesmerizing delight of visitor due to size,
beautiful architecture and location. Fort have 10 gates, Chand
gate, Datia Darwaza, Jharna Gate, Khanderao Gate, Laxmi Gate,
Orcha Gate, Sagar Gate, Sainyar Gate and Unnao Gate. Inside
the fort Karak Bijli Toup ( Tank), Rani Jhansi Garden, Shiv
temple, Ganesh temple and "Mazar" of Ghulam Gaus Khan are some
of the places of tourist interest.
