This
medieval era fort, constructed by Raja Man Singh Tomar, is
often referred as the pearl amongst fortresses in India. There
are temples, palaces and water tanks within the sandstone
solid boundary walls of fort covering an area of about 3 sq.km.
9th century build Teli ka Mandir having Dravidian style
architecture and Saas- Bahu temple are among the most famous
temples of the fort, where as Man Singh Palace, Karan Palace,
the Jahangir Mahal, the Shahjahan Mahal and Jauhar Kund are
some of other prime tourist attractions.
