Among
the fabulous tourist attractions of Karnataka, Gulburga fort
is significant one. The fort was constructed by Raja
Gulabchand and was renovated by Al-ud-din Bahmani. During the
attacks from Vijaynagar kingdom the fort was damaged
considerably but Mohammad Adil Shah was there to take
effective measure of repairing. The fort is also famous for
the Jama Masjid, which is architectural replica or inspiration
of the great mosque in Cordoba, Spain.
Gulburga city is well connected by road and train with all
major cities of the state.
