This
12th century built force which was renovated in 16th century
is one of fine illustration for the military architecture in
the country. The fort is expressing architectural skill of the
Qutab Shahi rulers .In the year 1687 Mugul King Aurangzeb
attacked this fort and caused considerable damage to
constructions there. Golconda fort was known for wonderful and
very effective water supply system, ventilation arrangements
and high gates. For the visitors a sound and light show is
arranged in the evening.
