This
marvelous fort which was host to British Governor-General,
Lord Hastings [1818] and where Viceroy, Lord Curzon held is
famous Darbar in 1902 was constructed by Bundela King Bir
Singh Dev in 1620. Watching down from the oriel windows of
this fort of mixture of Rajasthani and Mugal architecture with
amazing beautiful balconies and bridges is a pleasure, worth
to watch experience.
Datia is on Chennai - Mumbai railway route so it is accessible
by train but for air travel nearest airport is at Gwalior.
