Rajasthan
is known for the stories related with bravery and valiant
fights against enemies for safeguarding Rajputana glory and
pride. Chittorgarh fort, which is supposed to be constructed
by Bhim, one of Pandav, withstanding all the pride and glory
of past in the Mewar area. History says when in the 1567 Mugal
King Akbar assaulted this fort and 8,000 odd Rajput soldiers
inside the fort were left with no option, they opened the fort
gate and scarified their life for the pride, where as women
and children have sailed into fire hence when Akbar entered
into fort there was no human population.
Inside the fort, beside the "Kirti Stambh" build
in 12th century A.D. dedicated to first Jain tirthankar,
Adinathji and "Vijay Stambh" constructed by Rana Kumbha
some time around 1440, tourists can find numerous attractive
constructions such as:
