This
one of the oldest stone formation in India, near Baroda in
Gujarat state was added on the World Heritage List of UNESCO
in the year 2004. The site is inclusive of numerous
constructions of historical and archeological importance,
excavation work of site is still in progress to know the
ancient cultural heritage. Monumental structures dates back to
era of 8th to 14th centuries.
site is just 50 odd km from Baroda hence it is easy to reach
here and study this complete city for pre-Mughal Islamic
history. Tourist can visit this site of more than 100
monuments, any time between October and June for a pleasure
trip.
