This
granite constructed temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva - the
terminator of world and truly reflects the artistic understand
of Chola kings. Temple's interior and passage around are
illustrating magnificent specimens of sculptural art. This spell
bounding illustration for Chola architect along with two other Chola
temples, Temple of Gangaikondacholisvaram and the Airavatesvara
temple at Darasuram, is listed on the World Heritage Sites of
UNESCO.
